It so happens that accidentally got in Belgium. Just one day.
Belgium is a small country, but it is an interesting and unusual. By area, 136th in the world, with a width of about 260 km. I got here by accident - simply appeared urgent business.
I had to rent a car, and early in the morning to leave Germany. I left Hamburg at 4 am, at 10 o'clock was in Belgium at the destination point :)
Over the 6 o'clock I drove 700 km and crossed half of Germany, almost all of the Netherlands, Belgium and half :) It's very close at them there.
Here I was then in a small ancient town Roeselare (Roeselare), which has about 1130 years.
I settled into a hotel and began to look for an interpreter for negotiations. But not so easy, it turns out - in the country for three official languages!
German, Dutch and French. I had to first find out to what is spoken in this part of the country, and then look for an interpreter.
Agreed to meet the next morning, I left the evening to take a walk and take pictures of this town.
All the houses are mostly old and built of stone, wood and glass
Yes, in principle all the city looks old and ancient
This is one of the squares of the city
In the same square stands the old church
A lot of lawn near the house. It looks like the entrance to the labyrinth
Road signs in the city are probably too many years, as most of them are all crooked
just a big crossroads
There is another interesting feature - absolutely all the houses the windows are closed. I do not know what it is connected.
The country has a highly developed agriculture, so these quiet landscapes are found even in the city
And here is the most common culture in Belgium - is corn. She then planted just everything. It grows along all the highways and even in cities on any available space to grow corn
Now, a little about the hotel. She herself is small, only a few rooms. It looks like a family estate. It manages all of this just all one family. But the rating on booking.com as much as 9.2 points out of a possible 10!
The hotel is divided into two rooms: the first are the rooms themselves
And in the other is family restaurant. In which many local residents came in the evening
And this is a separate breakfast room. As is the usual European hotel: everything seems to be so full and eat in nature and nothing :)
Generally, the hotel boast its beautiful views of the city, the sea and so on. D. I have the same view was on the field with a cabbage :)
Though too beautiful
Even in this city located AVR firm's factory, which produces some of the best potato harvesters in the world.
Having finished his business in Roeselare - have to go back to Germany. But only 50 km away from here is the North Sea! Remember the movie "dostuchatsya to the heavens," which was filmed in Belgium, I decide how and characters of the film - see the sea :) Food in town
Here it is one of the most beautiful places on the Cote d'Azur Belgium.
The road comes close to the sea and rests against the barrier.
And right behind him overlooking the beach and the same North Sea.
Along the coast is a pedestrian street with restaurants
bench, from which you can admire the sea
and a hotel
This is a hotel right on the beach
The sea, though the North, but it is possible to swim. However, the swimming season here only two months a year. The air temperature of about 25 degrees, which is not familiar to ordinary coast.
Here love to go to rest, those who wish to avoid strong sun or those who simply do not like extreme heat.
In general, the sea is not normal as Belgium itself :) The sky and clouds constantly walking is often overcast.
The coast is close to the English Channel, and somewhere out there beyond the horizon, only 100 km is already in England.
