• Photos Earth from outer space remarkably similar to the famous painting
Pictures taken ASTER probe from Earth orbit, is surprisingly similar to the paintings of the Impressionists. To see this, look at the pair of images in which the photo of the space compared with the paintings of the classics.
Japanese probe ASTER - Refine space thermal emission and reflection radiometer (Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer), 1999 onboard a research satellite "Terra". He photographs the Earth with high resolution in the 15 regions of the electromagnetic spectrum, from visible to infrared.
Images obtained with this apparatus was used to create detailed surface temperature maps, emissivity, reflectivity and height. NASA ASTER together with the developers announced that data from the probe are publicly available.
