Flight for flight
• Flight for flight
July 11, held a "flight for the flight" - about 130 aviation enthusiasts from all over Russia and even Japan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan gathered early in the morning in the Domodedovo airport to fly to Minsk on board the legendary TU-154. It would seem that the old Soviet plane, where such a stir?
Generally, planes are not "old" - they are either admitted to a flight, or to prevent. With proper care the life of a civilian aircraft can easily reach 40 or more years. A 15-20 years for an aircraft does not age.
More recently, "Bird" was one of the most popular aircraft in our country. But now, in Russia, they are almost gone - they were replaced by more modern "Boeing" and "Airbus". Airlines changed the "carcass" for new aircraft mainly for reasons of economy - Tu-154 consumes more fuel and requires not only the crew of two pilots, but also a navigator and a flight engineer. And this is all the money-money-money ...
And the Tu-154 in fact ceased to upgrade in 1982, when the operation of the version of the Tu-154M. Mass production of "carcasses" lasted until 1998, and small-scale - until 2013.
Tu-154 is now almost does not carry out regular flights. number of flying boards is reduced every year. But the aircraft a lot of fans - his love for the appearance of the velocity (cruising speed of the aircraft at flight level reaches 950 km / h up to 100 km / h faster than the majority of similar aircraft) and reliability (most known accidents of recent years happened due the human factor, not because of the "aging" of the aircraft). It is not surprising that when it became aware of the "Flight for flight" on the Tu-154, tickets are snapped up like hotcakes.
"Flight for flight" was organized Aviator.ru project, "Belavia" Domodedovo International Airport and the National Airport Minsk.
Check-in started at 7 in the morning - so many participants waiting for latecomers trying to sleep.
All the participants were given a special reflective vests - without them you can not go to the platform.
About 7:30 we went to meet the Tu-154 on the airfield.
So he, a handsome, landing - participants of "Flight for flight" learned on the plane characteristic of soot from the engines (take a closer look to the sky).
In the tradition of aircraft in special cases welcome arch of water.
As soon as the aircraft engines fell silent on all sides stuck to "yellow jackets" - many for the first time succeeded in the vicinity to explore this wonderful airplane.
Our "Bird" was released in 1992.
We soon left the platform and returned to the airport to go jogging control and finally get inside the aircraft.
The flight went quickly, almost all jumped up from their seats to properly otfotografirovat salon, has declared fit again and had to wear.
On the approach to Minsk Cloudy start to thicken. In the Minsk it was rainy. But it did not spoil the mood of the participants.
At the airport in Minsk aircraft also welcomed a water arch - a great still tradition.
After the plane got to the parking lot, we were once again allowed to freely take pictures of it from different directions, and gave to communicate with the crew.
Despite the fact that the plane was surrounded by "yellow jackets", continued its routine maintenance: winged ladder, disembark passengers stowed in the cabin, load and unload the luggage, to refuel.
Of course, I could not look into the cockpit - a lot of toggle switches and appliances, as well as in any plane. I do not know how to manage all this.
And this is only part of the job flight engineer
After that began spotting - we were taken to a special mound opposite the center of the runway and allowed to take off and landing aircraft.
Of course, we were waiting for our "bird" will fly farther.
And here it is.
went to Burgas, Bulgaria. Have a good flight!
And we have moved into a conference room where a friendly meeting of the "Flight for flight" with the organizers and guests.
Commercial Director of "Belavia" Igor Cherginets talked about their plans for the Tu-154 - planes a year will be to carry out regular and charter flights, and then be replaced by the new "Boeing".
The word given to the brightest guests "Flight for flight" - the legendary test pilot, Hero Russia Ruben Yesayan (pictured left).
Ruben Tatevosovich told, in particular, about how he had to in the past year in Samara distill the Tu-154 from the airport to the landing area nearby (the distance between them just over two kilometers) - the flight lasted less than five minutes. The peculiarity of it was the fact that the host landing pad had a streak of only 1, 2 kilometers in length: two times less than required Tu-154 specification. And there was even more closed in 2012. Therefore Ruben Tatevosovich approach performed visually. The chassis has touched the band at the very beginning. And after a full stop of the aircraft was still more than half a kilometer before its end. Absolutely unique and unrepeatable flight.
After the end of a friendly meeting and hearty lunch, we went to Minsk Aviation Museum - but we will tell you in the next post. Stay tuned!
