Walk around Minsk
• Walk to Minsk
Minsk - a very nice, friendly and pleasant city. I will definitely go again on occasion.
The first thing I decided to take pictures - Ceremonial kinds Minsk streets. The weather was fine, the sun, clouds - and why not. On the city tile galore placed flower pots. It looks beautiful in life, and in the photographs:
Minsk center looks as if he got on Kutuzovsky Prospekt in Moscow. Only here all the compact, cozy and complete lack of advertising. It's like a visual shock. We are so accustomed to this motley debris that a simple form of "clean" the city is amazing. And in theory it should be.
A lot of parks in the city center.
It is possible to take a boat and go.
The new library building. The shape and appearance, in my opinion, the "send" us to the architectural traditions of Ashgabat.
Opera and Ballet theatre. Front of the theater a large fountain.
Many wide avenues and squares. This is something like a miniature Gagarin Square to Lenin.
old Minsk district in the heart.
The obelisk "Minsk Hero City".
Stylized bike parking. Iron construction fits well into the overall solution.
The city laid out for the convenience of residents. Marked bicycle paths (in both directions) and pedestrian areas.
Markup in the center of the roadway there are raft. If you hesitated, and did not have time to cross the road, you can stay here and wait for the green. Generally pedestrians in Minsk is very cultural. Several times have seen a situation where burning red light on an empty street, but still stood and waited.
Large spacious underground passages. Mass merchandisers are not observed. At each subway station has an ATM machine. If you need to withdraw money, enough to find the nearest subway - can not go wrong.
Cabinets with the information.
presence of a public toilet. No need to panic and run to look for an outdoor cafe, find an appropriate sign enough.
Monument to Henry Dunant - the founder of the International Red Cross.
The kids on trips.
Seeing those stairs - thinking about their purpose. I assumed that they are made for a sudden evacuation (due to the Polish military courses). But it turned out it's just a supporting piece for street ivy.
Neighborhood Tractor Plant. Old place, we can say, urban backyards. Nevertheless, even here it is very clean and good.
In Minsk many Lada and all Russian car industry.
This is the graffiti painted on a Brazilian artist of the plant body. The figure's arms and Frieda Van Gogh.
And this is made in national motives.
stores. Spare parts, luggage repair, sharpening tools and other necessary services in the home. Fortunately, these clusters do not occur often.
A lot of mini-shops.
Another feature of the city - a large number of queues in the shops. And it is clear why: whether too few sellers, or too many buyers. I went to five pharmacies in search of free cash, then spat and stood in line.
In the evening went to the Jazz Festival. It was held on Saturday, open-air the heart of the city. Absolutely free.
The people were darkness, all relaxed lying on the grass and rested.
