Uber will soon enjoy even safer
As Uber cares about safety
It is worth noting that the best minds of more than a year trying to make your service as safe as possible for customers and drivers. For example, a few years ago, new features such as an emergency button with the possibility of exchanging information about the trip or the incident with dispatchers of emergency services have been introduced. And in 2016 Uber developed a system that carefully analyzed the complaints of passengers that the driver, for example, exceeded the speed or driving very messy.
The data received from users, compared with the GPS data of the moving vehicle, including the average speed for each interval of movement, rebuilding of the bands, and so on. On this basis, the operators have concluded what the sanctions applied (or not applied) to the driver, who received a complaint. But if these developments can be called simply "additional buttons" in the app, here's a new feature RideCheck, the launch of which will be held in the near future, it is something much more interesting. At the moment, the only component of the smartphone, which is used by the application Uber, is (quite logically) GPS module. This way, you can easily call a taxi at any place, and dispatchers are able to track the movement of Uber. However, the function will use RideCheck also a gyroscope with the accelerometer. But why is it necessary? It's pretty simple: RideCheck starts at the beginning of the trip, if you are a passenger or runs continuously, if you are the driver.
If the system has detected a non-standard situation, or freelance, for example, a smartphone dramatic shift on one of the axes (that just happens in an emergency situation), drivers and passengers get on a smartphone notification in which to confirm that everything was in order. It is for accurate fixing of the displacement and need an accelerometer and a gyroscope. Further, if the driver or the passenger confirms that the accident occurred, the program offers to call the emergency services. Also, there is an option to automatically call rescuers and even the possibility of allowing the emergency call to the driver or the passenger number.
At the moment, RideCheck will be launched in test mode only for the United States of America, and in the event that the system will show his best side, then the other countries, users will get the update Uber app with a new feature of security "in the very near time".
