Mathematics confirmed the possibility of data transmission via gravitational waves
Mathematics analyzed properties of the gravitational waves in a generalized affine-metric space (algebraic structure acting on the concepts of vector and point) like properties of electromagnetic waves in the space-time Minkowski. They reported on the possibility of transmitting information using nonmetricity waves and transfer it to the space without distortion. This discovery may lead to new methods of data transfer in space, such as between the space stations. The results were published in Classical and Quantum Gravity.
Gravitational waves - waves of this curvature of space-time, which, according to general relativity are completely determined by the space-time. Currently, there is reason to assume a space-time more complicated structure with additional geometrical features, such as torsion and nonmetricity. In this case, the words of the geometry of the space-time converted Riemann space provided for general relativity (GRT) in the generalized affinity metric space. Suitable gravitational field equations that summarize Einstein equation shows that torsion and nonmetricity also can spread out in the form of, in particular, the plane wave at a great distance from the wave source.
We can transmit information by means of gravitational waves?
To describe gravitational waves, scientists from ore used a mathematical abstraction - affine space, namely a normal vector space, but not the origin. They have proved that such a mathematical representation of gravitational waves, there are functions that remain the same in the process of propagation.
