Canadians have developed the universal unmanned driving system
The Canadian company Magna International, specializing in the production of auto parts, reported that its engineers have created an unmanned driving system, which does not need external lidar and bulky body kit on the car body. Development of Canadian experts suggests the presence of the necessary equipment, but, unlike other solutions, Max4 - the name of the autopilot - can be completely integrated into the housing of the machine. Such an approach will not only save a presentable appearance of the car, but will also protect expensive equipment. In addition, the development is suitable for a variety of vehicles.
The components of unmanned systems have been developed, tested and ready to work. Reuters reported that installing a new autopilot engineers will be on their own and to order. Max4 autonomous driving system allows the driver to decide when it is needed. Therefore, the owner of the car will be able at will to enable or disable the autopilot via a button located on the instrument panel. Autopilots are developed by specialists of different companies, but more often they are already pre-installed in the car - does that company Tesla. But many are not satisfied with this approach, so other companies are trying to work in the other direction, creating a universal system of unmanned driving, which can be equipped with any vehicle, regardless of its brand and model year.
