2 major British company "Foster Place Partners" (Foster + Partners) and "Hitervik Studio" (Heatherwick Studio) created an amazing new architectural project in Shanghai. Two 180-meter towers, with a total area of 420 thousand square meters, will be pleasing to the eye of residents and tourists. The towers will be shops, hotels, offices.
The highlight of this project was the moving of the building facade, which attracts the attention of every passerby.
Architects when creating the project were inspired by the Chinese theater and nature. They made a moving curtain of tubes, similar to bamboo. Pipes has 3 rows and hang over the windows and balcony, moving and changing appearance.
Presenting design architects described the facade as a "moving veil that adapts to the changing destiny of the building, opening the balcony view of the area Pudung (Pudong)".
